Seealpsee at 1,700 meters above the Oytal Valley
The easiest way to reach Seealpsee is from the Höfatsblick station of the Nebelhornbahn cable car, from where you can walk to the lake in about an hour over the Zeigersattel. From here, the view of the lake and the Höfats is best. Of course, you can also hike down to the lake (40 minutes) - but keep in mind that you have to walk back up the mountain ;)
If you're vacationing in Oberstdorf in the Allgäu region during the winter, this is also perfect - because during the winter months, you can marvel at the frozen Seealpsee on a winter hike from the Nebelhornbahn mountain station.
