Winter tobogganing at the Gaisalpe in Reichenbach near Oberstdorf:
Tobogganing is a must on every winter holiday, right? ;)
To start your tobogganing fun, you have two options:
- You can take an idyllic winter hike along the Wallraffweg from Oberstdorf, which will take you to the starting point in about 2 hours.
- Or you can take the direct, steeper ascent from Reichenbach. But be careful: With this one-hour ascent option, you hike directly up the toboggan run to the Gaisalpe! The starting point is the hiking car park in the Oberstdorf district of Reichenbach. Here, you purchase a parking ticket and follow the signs to the Gaisalpe.
Finally, once you reach the top, you can begin your fast and winding 2 km descent back to the valley. If you're a little or very hungry, head to the Gaisalpe. You can also rent sleds there.
