Your adventure holiday on Bavaria's longest toboggan run in Berchtesgaden:
Probably Bavaria's longest toboggan run, with over 7 km and 750 meters of elevation gain, is located below the Watzmann in the Berchtesgaden Alps and is rated for medium difficulty.
The starting point for the toboggan run is the parking lot at the Wimbach Bridge (fee required). From here, follow the signs to the "Kührointalm." After just over four kilometers, you will first pass the Schapbach Diensthütte and then the Schapbachalm. From there, it's about an hour's walk to the Kührointalm. The total ascent takes about three hours.
After a short break, it's off to the wild ride with the family ;) Please note that the ascent and descent are on the same route, so please walk up and down carefully.
Alternatively, you can also start at the Hammerstiel parking lot in Hinterschönau. The toboggan run from the Schapbachalm is a bit flatter and shorter.
