Hiking to the River Source
From the Sengsschmied Inn in Roßleithen, hike past the scythe factory to the Pießling Source (approx. 20 minutes away). There, the Pießling River rises in one of the largest karst springs in the Eastern Alps - the Pießling Source. Here, you can see the shimmering blue and green waters flowing upwards from a depth of around 32 meters.
The Pießling Source is accessible in all weather conditions except when there is snow. It is best to park in Roßleithen at the parking lot below the inn.
