Summer at Lake Piburg
Lake Piburg is located in one of Tyrol's oldest nature reserves near Oetz in the Ötztal Valley. Be sure to clean your phone lens – this is the perfect place for new #ExplorerMoments! The surrounding forests and the imposing Acherkogel are reflected in the lake. And what could be a cooler combination than mountains and lakes?!
But at this beautiful mountain lake, you can not only stand motionless and marvel, but also go swimming in the bathing area, go fishing, or rent a rowboat from the boat rental shop. The lake is also a great starting point for adventurous hikes with the family all year round.
Ice skating on Lake Piburg
The two-kilometer-long ice surface on the lake is swept and cleared, so you can skate and pirouette with a view of the Acherkogel :P If you don't have your own skates, simply use the skate rental at the Gasthof Piburger See.
You can also try curling here. And if all that's too shaky for you, you can simply walk across the frozen lake ;)
