Summer and Winter Highlight: Pure Nature in the Partnach Gorge
Massive rock faces, enormous water masses, and impressive rock formations - all this awaits you in the Partnach Gorge. You can take this excursion during your summer vacation at the Zugspitze or during your ski vacation in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
The hike through the 699m long Partnach Gorge is easy to manage and is also suitable for a family hike. Please note that the trail is not suitable for strollers. Since most of the trail runs through tunnels, the ceiling height is often less than 1.75m - so keep your head down :P
In the Partnach Gorge, water drips from the walls, so you definitely need sturdy shoes and rain gear.
Tickets can be purchased either on site or online. It's best to leave your car at the Olympic Ski Stadium parking lot.
Opening hours:
- June - September: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
- October - May: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Experience: Torchlit hike through the Partnach Gorge
During the winter months, you can book a very special experience and explore the icy gorge at night with torches together with at least seven other visitors. The guided tour is offered on Tuesdays and Saturdays and requires registration (available for ages 6 and up - but torches are only available for ages 12 and up). Don't forget your flashlight for the return trip ;-)
