For the whole family: Wurbauerkogel observation tower
The glass Wurbauerkogel panoramic tower is located in the Kalkalpe National Park in Austria. This impressive tower is part of the visitor center of the Hinterstoder National Park in the Phyrn-Priel holiday region.
Even on the ascent to this platform in the Hinterstoder National Park, you can read the names of the surrounding peaks on the different levels. On a clear day, you can even admire 21 peaks over 2,000 meters!
But the Wurbauerkogel panoramic tower not only offers unique views of the Upper Austrian mountain panorama, but also has an interesting exhibition, "Fascination Rock." On 150 square meters, you can learn exciting facts about the mountains of Upper Austria.
P.S. Especially during a family holiday in Hinterstoder, the panoramic tower is a great destination! Currently, the tower on the Wurbauerkogel in Hinterstoder cannot be reached by chairlift, but it can be reached by car via Rosenau. The hike takes approximately 3 hours.
