H1: Schlick 2000 Nature Trail – Family Hike in the Stubai Valley
Discover nature, enjoy the views, and hike at a leisurely pace
Want to get out into the mountains, but without planning a major summit tour? Then the Schlick 2000 Nature Trail is just the thing for you. This family-friendly hike starts at the Kreuzjoch Mountain Station and leads you through Swiss stone pine forests, mountain pine fields, and alpine scenery to the Schlickeralm. Along the way, you'll find exciting stations, hands-on nature learning experiences, and stunning views of the Kalkkögel mountains – which are known as the "North Tyrolean Dolomites" for good reason.
The trail is especially exciting for families because children can playfully learn more about plants, animals, and the mountain environment along the way. At the same time, the tour remains pleasantly uncomplicated: The walking time is around 1.5 hours, the trail is considered family-friendly, and according to Stubai Tirol, it's also suitable for strollers. Exactly the kind of mountain experience that works well for active families: experiencing nature, being out and about together, and embarking on a genuine excursion without much planning.
