The Bobsleigh Museum at Lake Riessersee
Did you know that in 1936, this natural ice rink was the venue for the Winter Olympics in Garmisch? The athletes had to have a fair amount of courage to race down the valley at speeds of up to 120 kilometers per hour.
During your vacation in Garmisch, you can get a little closer to this feeling. The Bobsleigh Museum at Lake Riessersee, with its numerous exhibits, offers you exciting insights into the history of the many bobsleigh championships. Not only victories, but also truly tragic stories were written here, but we don't want to give too much away...
The bobsleigh track is easy to walk through. You can either start at the train station in Garmisch. If you're traveling by car, you can also park at the Aule Alm or at Lake Riessersee.
Bobsleigh Museum opening hours: Wednesday from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
