Austria's most popular Alpine road
Even if you're spending your vacation in St. Johann, you shouldn't miss the trip to Austria's most sought-after Alpine road! The Grossglockner High Alpine Road in Austria is open every year from spring until late autumn and offers visitors a fascinating view of the alpine mountain world of the Austrian Alps. The route also leads you from the Explorer Hotel Kitzbühel to the popular Alpine road.
48 kilometers of road and 36 hairpin bends lead all the way to the Hohe Tauern National Park. Exciting experiences for young and old await at selected locations along the panoramic road.
Museums, panoramic trails, exhibitions, playgrounds for children, and much more. If you're lucky, you might even spot a marmot or a golden eagle.
P.S. A moderately difficult hike to the waterfall on the Großglocknerstraße also starts in Fusch. To do this, you'll need to drive to the Ferleiten Wildlife and Adventure Park. :) The hike is a bit challenging, but definitely worth it for an #ExplorerMoment.
