Swimming fun at one of Austria's warmest mountain lakes
The Gleinkersee in Upper Austria is one of the most beautiful sights in Windischgarsten. It's the perfect place to take a breather after many days of hiking during your summer vacation in the Pyhrn-Priel region. The large lawn with a view of the mountains offers plenty of space for sunbathing with the whole family. The little ones can let off steam on the playground.
The bathing lake quickly reaches a pleasant temperature of around 25 degrees Celsius in summer. This makes the Gleinkersee one of the warmest mountain lakes in Austria.
Tip: Your stomach is rumbling? No problem! At the Seebauer Inn, you can fortify yourself with hearty, home-cooked meals.
General price information: From May to September, a spacious lawn is available for a fee.
Good to know: The lake is not closed and can also be visited during the winter months!
