To get to the start of the hike, first take the Stubai Glacier Cable Car all the way to the top. And this is where the tour begins!
Your starting point: the Dresdner Hütte, the perfect starting point for a circular trail that takes you past small lakes and pools to the Egesengrat plateau (2,625 m). Here you'll be rewarded with a stunning panorama of the glacier and summit! But that's just the beginning – the descent continues until you reach the impressive glacier stream.
A highlight: the confluence of the glacier stream and the Fernaubach stream – pure nature! Afterwards, the trail leads you back to the Dresdner Hütte, where you can treat yourself to a well-deserved break. Stop in and enjoy!
Want to go even higher? Then head to the Schaufeljoch mountain station with the Stubai Glacier Cable Car. After a short drive, the journey continues: In just 10 minutes, you'll reach the legendary "Top of Tyrol" viewing platform on Mount Grosser Isidor. At 3,210 meters, you'll stand on a rugged rocky peak and enjoy a panoramic view that will take your breath away. Yes, you'll immediately feel the altitude – but the view over hundreds of Alpine peaks all the way to the Dolomites is worth the adrenaline rush!
