Winter Vacation: Tobogganing in the Zillertal
A winter vacation in Tyrol, and what can't be missed? Tobogganing, of course. So, off to Hochfügen.
To get from your hotel in Kaltenbach to Hochfügen, you first drive along the 14km mountain road through the Finsingtal Valley.
The toboggan run starts at 1,600m. The starting point is at the valley station of the Zillertal Shuttle. Parking is free here, and if you don't bring your own toboggan, you can rent one from the on-site toboggan rental shop, and then off you go ;) Okay, first you have to walk about 40 minutes before you're rewarded with the descent.
The 1.5km toboggan run is classified as "easy" and is illuminated, so nothing stands in the way of an evening adventure.
